Grounding of general cargo vessel

The UK Marine Accident Investigation Branch, issued an investigation report concerning the grounding of the cargo vessel Priscilla in Pentland Skerries, Pentland Firth, Scotland in 18 July 2018. Although the grounding caused significant hull damage, there was no pollution or injury.

Investigation for two-vessel collision at Laotieshan Channel

Transport Malta launched an investigation on the collision of two vessels, that took place on September 8 2018; The vessels both suffered structural damages, yet there were no injuries reported.

Crew unable to extinguish fire possibly due to lack of training

Norway’s Accident Investigation Board presents an accident report, where Astrid Sofie, fishing vessel, caught fire on November 28 2018. The investigation didn’t identify whether the lack of training was decisive for the situation.
