New York Gov. Kathy Hochul announced on December 6 the successful delivery of clean power to Long Island from the first operational wind turbine at Ørsted and Eversource’s South Fork Wind The news came less than a month after completion of the first operational turbine at the wind farm, which is located approximately 19 miles southeast of Block Island, Rhode Island, and 35 miles east of Montauk Point, New York.
