Amazon opening three San Antonio facilities

Amazon Inc. (NASDAQ: AMZN) announced Tuesday it will open two fulfillment centers and a delivery station in San Antonio.

The three facilities will bring “over 1,500 new full-time jobs” to San Antonio, said Alicia Boler Davis, Amazon’s vice president of global customer fulfillment. “We’re thrilled to be able to continue our growth throughout the San Antonio area.”

Amazon opens two new fulfillment centers in Mexico

Amazon recently opened two fulfillment centers outside the populous Mexico City area in the cities of Guadalajara and Monterrey.

Company officials said the new facilities represent a $100 million investment in Mexico as Amazon aims to offer faster deliveries to more people across the country.

Amazon Air launches operations at new Florida hub

Amazon (NASDAQ: AMZN) inaugurated its new regional air hub near Tampa, Florida, with the arrival of the first freighter flight on Thursday.

Amazon plans new facility in El Paso, brings 700 jobs

Online retail logistics services giant Amazon (NASDAQ: AMZN) said it will start construction of a new fulfillment center in the central Texas city of Pflugerville, a suburb 18 miles northeast of the state capital, Austin.
