MAN ME-LGIA ammonia engine passes another milestone

MAN Energy Solutions reports that its ME-LGIA (-Liquid Gas Injection Ammonia) engine, currently undergoing testing at its Research Center Copenhagen (RCC) facility, has run at 100% engine load for the first time.

MAN ES launches new four-stroke ammonia engine R&D project

MAN Energy Solutions is following up on its successes in designing and testing the first two-stroke ammonia engine. It has announced the launch of a new four-stroke ammonia engine R&D project. Called
AmmoniaMot 2, it has been initiated by MAN with partners from industry and research institutes and is supported by the German Federal Ministry for Economic Affairs and Climate Action (BMWK). It began in August and is scheduled to run for 3½ years.

MAN B&W ammonia engine will be piloted in new Japanese bulk carrier

Imabari Shipbuilding’s Nihon Shipyard is to install an MAN B&W 7S60ME-ammonia engine in a 200,000 dwt class bulk carrier being built for a joint venture between K Line, NS United and Itochu Corporation. The project is one of the first to use MAN Energy Solutions’ ammonia-powered engine, currently under development in Denmark. The MAN B&W ammonia engine will be built in Japan by Mitsui E&S.

CSSC Starts Project For Green Fueled Engines
