ZPMC’s automated straddle carrier will be tested at the world’s first container terminal, APM Terminals Aarhus in Denmark.

APM Terminals Aarhus expands reefer capacity

Denmark’s largest container terminal, APM Terminals Aarhus has completed the installation of 180 reefer plugs in the last week, increasing its total capacity to 1,548 reefer plugs.

A reefer rack expansion plan has been launched since 2020 in APM Terminals Aarhus, which proceeded with the first two phases of the project already completed in 2020 and phases 3 & 4 completed in December 2021 and January 2022, respectively.

New management structure to unlock synergies at APM Terminals Scandinavian operations

Effective January 1, 2020, Dennis Lenthe Olesen, currently Global Head of Operations at APM Terminals, will assume the role of Managing Director for APM Terminals Nordics. This joint management structure will enable APM Terminals Aarhus and Gothenburg to strengthen collaboration and unlock operational synergies. The terminals will remain separate legal entities in Denmark and Sweden.

APM Terminals Aarhus forecasts record reefer volumes
