APM Terminals invests in Peruvian terminal infrastructure

APM Terminals Callao, operator of the largest multipurpose terminal in Peru, has received a new electric panamax ship-to-shore crane and two e-rubber tyred gantry (RTG) cranes.

Maersk-owned port operator has made a US$25 million investment to enhance the terminal’s container operations.

The terminal currently has five super post panamax cranes, two panamax cranes, and 15 eRTGs in operation.

APM Terminals Callao to provide regional government with oxygen plant

APM Terminals Callao (APMTC) will supply an oxygen plant to the Regional Government of Callao, Peru, as an effort to support the battle against Covid-19 and as a part of its commitment to the city’s community.

The oxygen plant, which will be located in the Freddy Ternero sports training centre in the Ventanilla district of Callao, will have the capacity to supply 24 cylinders a day, each with 10m³ capacity and is planned to be operational this month.
