Australian Peak Shippers Association joins Asian Shippers Alliance

The Asian Shippers Alliance, a regional alliance of peak trade organisations, welcomed the Australian Peak Shippers Association (APSA), which is affiliated with the Freight and Trade Alliance and is the Commonwealth-appointed organisation that represents the interests of shippers and cargo owners in Australia.

Asian shippers set priorities

The Asian Shippers’ Alliance agrees to contribute to the review process of the EU Consortia Block Exemption Regulation, to battle against sharply increasing shipping costs, and to encourage the improvement of liners’ performance. Among other priorities the Asian shippers underlined sustainability, trade facilitation, and adoption of suitable trading and logistics technology such as data analytics and artificial intelligence to increase the efficiency of the global supply chains.
