Royal Caribbean Group orders fourth giant Icon Class ship

The days of the post-pandemic cruise ship ordering pause are rapidly fading into the past. Today, Royal Caribbean Group (NYSE: RCL) reported that it has signed an agreement with Finnish shipbuilder Meyer Turku to order a fourth Icon Class ship for delivery to its Royal Caribbean International brand in 2027. Carnival orders its second new Excel-class ship this year

Carnival Corporation has followed up the order for a newbuild Excel-class LNG-fueled cruise ship that it placed with Meyer Werft in February with an order for a further ship in the class.
