VIDEO: Royal Caribbean hosts maritime decarbonization summit on Utopia of the Seas

In an initiative to accelerate the maritime industry towards its net zero sustainability goals, Royal Caribbean Group recently hosted a three-day maritime decarbonization summit aboard its newest ship, Utopia of the Seas. Joined by over 70 leaders from across the maritime industry, including fuel providers, technology developers, shipbuilders and ship operators, the summit was held in collaboration with the Mærsk Mc-Kinney Møller Center for Zero Carbon Shipping.

Höegh Autoliners could be bunkering clean ammonia in JAXPORT by 2027

Höegh Autoliners and Japan’s Sumitomo Corporation have signed a Letter of Intent to collaborate on the supply and delivery of clean ammonia as a next-generation sustainable maritime fuel for Höegh’s upcoming Aurora Class PCTC vessels. The agreement will see them look into the supply of clean ammonia as a bunker fuel at the ports of Singapore and Jacksonville, Fla. (JAXPORT) from 2027 onwards.
