Silk Way West Airlines on Tuesday received its first factory-built 777 freighter from Boeing at its base in Baku, Azerbaijan, marking the 11-year-old company’s next expansion phase.

Singapore Airlines inaugurates 777 freighter service for DHL Express

Singapore Airlines will begin operating this month a 777 freighter three times per week to the U.S. via South Korea under a multi-aircraft outsourcing contract with DHL Express.

Lufthansa Cargo to deploy more freighter capacity in N. America, Asia

The addition of a new freighter this month will enable Lufthansa’s cargo subsidiary to expand its long-haul route network to Vietnam and other destinations, while a second Airbus A321 will supplement regional shipping capacity in October, the company said.

Emirates to retrofit 10 Boeing 777 jets for cargo

Ethiopian Airlines inks deal for 5 Boeing 777 freighters

Ethiopian Airlines on Wednesday said it will buy five large 777 freighters from Boeing, the latest step by Africa’s largest cargo operator to massively expand its fleet ahead of a projected rise in trade volumes for the continent.

Saudia selects Mammoth Freighters to convert Boeing 777s for cargo

Saudi Arabian flag carrier Saudia said it will order seven passenger-to-freighter conversions of the Boeing 777-300 from startup aviation engineering firm Mammoth Freighters. The move would double the airline’s freighter fleet, assuming none of the planes are for replacement purposes.
