Shell confirms small oil leak in ship-to-ship transfer in Brazil waters

Royal Dutch Shell Plc is guilty of a small amount of crude oil spill during a ship-to-ship oil transfer in Brazilian waters on November, as the company confirmed to Reuters.

Namely, approximately 200 milliliters of crude oil were released during the maneuver, which was stopped after the drip was detected, adding that authorities were notified and the incident left no trace of oil in the sea.

Kalmar tractors to equip Brazilian container terminal

Kalmar, part of Cargotec, has secured an order to supply a total of 30 Kalmar Ottawa T2 Terminal Tractors to the Tecon Santos container terminal in Brazil, operated by Santos Brasil Participações S.A. The order was booked in Cargotec’s third quarter 2018 order intake, with delivery of the machines scheduled to take place through the first quarter of 2019.

Prosecutors link trading majors with bribery scandal in Brazil

Brazilian prosecutors announced earlier this week that major oil traders Vitol, Trafigura and Glencore had paid over $30 million in bribes to Petrobras employees, which is state-owned.
