APM Terminals, Brasco to support oil explorations

APM Terminals shake hands with Brasco, a Wilson Sons Group company and inked an agreement in order to boost oil exploration operations. Specifically, Brasco as an offshore security support company, will further secure oil explorations located at Pecém Industrial and Port Complex.

Through their collaboration, APM Terminals Pecém along with Brasco will set up a temporary logistics base at the Pecém Industrial and Port Complex.

Port of Guangzhou, Port of Acu sign sister-port relationship

The Chinese Port of Guangzhou and Brazilian Port of Acu entered an agreement on May 8, establishing a sister-port relationship. The agreement aims to enhance cooperation and information exchange between Acu and Guangzhou.

The agreement was signed during the 2019 World Ports Conference, which launched on May 8 in Guangzhou, the capital of southern China’s Guangdong Province.

First vessel sails from Antwerp to Brazilian Port of Açu

The ‘BBC Amethyst’ anchored in Porto do Açu, Brazil, becoming the first ship to make the big crossing from Antwerp to the Brazilian sea port. This is considered an important achievement for the Port of Antwerp and the local partners who invested in the Brazilian port.

The ship’s cargo was a Siemens gas turbine, for the new thermoelectric power plant of GNA (Gás Natural Açu Ltda). With a 3 gigawatt capacity, the complex will provide around 14 million of households with electricity.
