Suspending checks on animal and food items crossing the Irish Sea has exposed failings in the Northern Ireland Protocol, with calls for an urgent overhaul of the agreement.

Looming French strike will add misery to those using beleagured Channel ports

Channel ports chaos looks set to worsen next week with French strike action expected from on an ongoing stand-off between government and labour.

The toll from the new Brexit trading arrangements grew last night when DHL Express told customers it was “immediately” suspending some UK-EU services.
