Briese Schiffahrt’s 1st OTECO 9000 Newbuild Heads Out for Sea Trials

The first of ten Open-Top Eco Generation general cargo vessels being built at the Dayang Offshore shipyard in China for Briese Schiffahrt has commenced sea trials. The OTECO 9000 series of vessels is a further development of the OTECO 5000 vessels in the company’s fleet, like MV Monika.

PIL fire sale continues with feeder pair

PIL has sold two more ships, as the troubled Singaporean liner operator continues its asset sales to bolster its balance sheet.

One of the ships, 2000-built 1,728TEU Kota Jati, was purchased by Chinese intra-Asia carrier, EAS International Shipping, and has been renamed EAS Osaka.
