More details on Norway’s giant hydrogen fueled-ferries emerge

When Norwegian ferry operator Trollhatten Nord announced that it had placed an order at the Mykelbust shipyard for what will be the world’s two largest hydrogen fueled ferries, few details of the technology that they incorporated were revealed. Now more information is starting to emerge.

Brunvoll signs with Vard for delivery for Toyo’s new cable laying vessel

Norwegian maritime system supplier Brunvoll has signed a contract with ship designer Vard Group for the delivery of an extensive propulsion and maneuvering system for Toyo Construction Co. Ltd new Cable Laying Vessel (CLV).

Brunvoll Mar-El will deliver onshore charging system for new Fjord1 fast ferries

Brunvoll Group subsidiary Brunvoll Mar-El will deliver the onshore charging system for the three fast ferries that Fjord 1 will operate on city routes in the Bergen, Norway, region under a 15-year contract from Vestland County Council that runs from 2025-2040.

Brunvoll Propulsion Chosen for World’s 1st Green Fuel SOV

ESVAGT and HAV Design have selected Brunvoll as the supplier of a propulsion and manoeuvring system for another Service Operations Vessel (SOV), reads an official release.

World’s first green fuel SOV

The delivery will be a repeat of the contracted vessel from last year, known as “The world’s first green fuel SOV”. Both vessels are built by Cemre Shipyard and will enter into a 10-year charter for Ørsted at their U.K East Coast Hub.
