Bulk shippers at the Port of New Orleans (Port NOLA) now have expanded options for moving cargoes to inland destinations.

The New Orleans Public Belt Railroad (NOPB) and Heniff Transportation Systems LLC announced that they have signed an agreement for Heniff to manage rail transloading services at the newly opened New Orleans Transloading Industrial Park.

Port Houston shows import strength in February

The Gulf Coast ports have received a lot of attention in recent years and rightfully so. The ports along the Gulf Coast provided a pressure relief valve of sorts, though they suffered with congestion throughout the pandemic as well.

DOT spending $220 million to speed cargo at 18 ports

The U.S. Department of Transportation (DOT) on Thursday released $220 million in federal funds for 18 coastal and inland ports aimed at speeding freight through the supply chain.

DNV GL, Classification society, launched its updated bulk cargo liquefaction guideline at the Nor-Shipping trade fair this week. Application launched to digitalize Antwerp breakbulk sector

The port data platform NxtPort has collaborated with the Antwerp breakbulk community in order to develop a new app. Called Bulkchain, it aims to simplify administration and make the supply chain simpler, faster and more efficient.

Bulkchain was launched at the AntwerpXL breakbulk trade fair and its first two modules are now active. Namely:

  • Terminal delivery order;
  • Terminal delivery confirmation.
