Vietnam’s newest container terminal is open for business – completing a turnaround for the once under-utilised Cai Mep deepwater port.
Gemalink International Port (GIP), the fifth container terminal at Cai Mep, 50km south-east of Ho Chi Minh City, is a joint-venture between homegrown logistics group Gemadept and Terminal Link, a terminal operator part-owned by CMA CGM.

South Vietnam’s Cai Mep-Thi Vai container port recently saw the maiden call of 2M’s TP17 service – another milestone in the long-awaited comeback of the much maligned deepwater complex.

Flexport opens container freight station in Vietnam as supply chains shift

Flexport has partnered with Vietnam’s Indo Trans Logistics (ITL) to open a new container freight station (CFS) outside Ho Chi Minh City.
