Cainiao launches open tender for 2021 logistics services – but be quick

Cainiao Smart Logistics Network, the logistics arm of Chinese-e-commerce platform Alibaba, today launched an open tender for logistics services for next year.
It is calling on logistics providers in key markets including North Asia, South-east Asia, Europe, the Middle East, ANZ and the US.
However, those interested in bidding for the company’s business have just five days, as the deadline for submissions is 15 December.

Two new moves in Alibaba’s bid to build a global logistics network

Chinese e-commerce giant Alibaba’s quest to “build a global logistics network” took several steps forward over the weekend.
The firm signed a cooperation agreement with Israeli shipping carrier Zim and its express arm, AliExpress, launched a cross-border supply chain solution for bulk items.

Alibaba signs up and gives port community’s eB/L initiative a boost

Chinese e-commerce giant Alibaba is set to deepen its cooperation with the port community, signing up to the International Port Community Systems Association’s (IPCSA) Bill of Lading (B/L) blockchain project.

Task Force drives towards global standards for supply chain visibility
