Το ναυάγιο του ελληνικού δεξαμενόπλοιου Antipolis: Δείτε πως είναι σχεδόν 50 χρόνια μετά

Τον Ιούλιο του 1977, το ελληνικό δεξαμενόπλοιο Antipolis προσάραξε στο Oudekraal, στο Cape Peninsula, όταν έσπασε ο κάβος ρυμουλκήσεως.

Το πλοίο βρισκόταν υπό ρυμούλκηση με προορισμό τα διαλυτήρια για σκραπ όταν έσπασε ο κάβος ρυμουλκήσεως και παρασύρθηκε.

Με τα χρόνια, το Antipolis έγινε δημοφιλής καταδυτική τοποθεσία, με τα απομεινάρια του να είναι περισσότερα ορατά κατά την άμπωτη.

Τον Ιανουάριο του 2022, ισχυρά κύματα μετέφεραν το ναυάγιο πιο κοντά στην ακτή, αυξάνοντας την ορατότητά του.

Container Ship Anchor Fouled

Maersk container ship anchor was found fouled and can not shelter from storm, reports Maritime Bulletin.

All ships anchored at Cape Town anchorage were advised to shelter from oncoming storm, or to sail further off to sea, to wait storm out, on July 12-13.

Maersk SAECS service to give Cape Town a miss as port congestion builds

Severe port congestion in Cape Town Container Terminal is forcing container lines serving South Africa to redesign sailing schedules and introduce port congestion surcharges for shippers that continue to use the eastern Cape gateway.
