J.B. Hunt announced a clean transport program that features carbon offsets.

Supply chain service provider J.B. Hunt Transport Services Inc. launched a clean transport program Monday, giving intermodal customers the option to purchase carbon credits that offset greenhouse gas emissions from their shipments.

Walmart Canada launches carbon offset delivery

Walmart Canada is now offering its e-commerce customers carbon-neutral shipping on items including groceries.

The company said it is now funding a carbon-offset program that will be administered by EcoCart. Walmart said the program will offset an estimated 25,000 tons of scope 3 emissions generated by Walmart’s last-mile deliveries. That is the equivalent of saving 1 million trees or removing 5,000 cars from the roads in a single year, the company said.

Gebrüder Weiss' North American customers can now ship carbon-neutral via air and ocean.

Lauterach, Austria-based transportation and logistics company Gebrüder Weiss on Thursday announced a carbon-neutral service for North American customers transporting goods via ocean or air.
