BIMCO Supports IMO Water Level Alarms Adoption For Cargo Holds

  • The Maritime Safety Committee (MSC 103) meeting of the International Maritime Organization (IMO) was held remotely from 5 to 14 May.

KR Revises Structural Rules for LNG Carriers

Classification society Korean Register (KR) revises existing structural rules for membrane-type LNG carriers, says an article published in Riviera Maritime Media.

About the new structural rule

The new rules have been developed to fully comply with the existing IGF code and cover LNG carriers from 210,000 m3 to 266,000 m3(Q-Max) by analysing and reflecting the motion characteristics of the vessels.
