Stowaway Dog in Cargo Ship Vaccinated

A stowaway dog which managed to get on a cargo ship in Thailand and sail all the way to Hong Kong was put down by the government on Wednesday, reports Asia Times.

A spokesperson for the Agricultural, Fisheries and Conservation Department confirmed that the dog had been euthanized as there were no vaccination certificates and it was suspected it came from a rabies-prone area, news website hk01.com reported.

Containers Removed From Cargo Ship!

According to the Royal Gazette, the containers that were stuck on a cargo vessel were removed.

What happened?

On February 6, the containers that were stuck on a cargo ship Somers Isles due to crane breakdown at Hamilton docks were removed.

According to the CEO of Polaris Holdings, some items were not removed from the ship because one of the docks’ two cranes broke down. The crane is one of two used to unload ships.

The perishables and other priority items were taken off the ship on Wednesday.

Cargo ships’ collision off Corsica

Two cargo ships have collided off the island of Corsica, with authorities fearing a catastrophic oil spill in the idyllic Mediterranean region. A Tunisian roll-on/roll-off ferry, the Ulysses, collided with the Cypriot registered container ship, the CLS Virginia.
