Centerline Logistics acquires JMB Shipping

Seattle, Wash., headquartered Centerline Logistics has acquired JMB Shipping, a maritime asset holding company that owns a fleet of Jones Act vessels including liquid tank barges and tugboats.

Previously, Centerline leased and managed the JMB Shipping fleet. The acquisition gives Centerline long-term ownership and operational control, integrating the vessels into Centerline’s growing fleet, which now has a liquid tank barge capacity of over three million barrels

Centerline Logistics prevails in Franco lawsuit

Seattle, Wash., based Centerline Logistics reports that, following a month-long jury trial in Washington State Superior Court (King County), the company and its co-defendants, including CEO Matthew Godden and co-owner, Macquarie Capital, prevailed on every count in a lawsuit brought against them by former CEO Harley Franco.

Saltchuk Marine to expand ship assist operations

Saltchuk Marine announced yesterday that it has acquired Centerline Logistics’ harbor ship assist operations in California and the Pacific Northwest.

Eight ship assist tugs currently operated under the Millennium and Starlight brands will join the Saltchuk Marine fleet in early 2021. Operations will be consolidated under the Starlight brand, which will remain independently operated, managing, dispatching, and crewing its own boats.
