Nearly 85% Fewer J&J Vaccine Doses to States

The U.S. government will allocate nearly 85% fewer Johnson & Johnson COVID-19 vaccine doses to states next week, according to data from the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC), due to uneven production related in part to problems at a Baltimore manufacturing plant, reports reuters.

Norwegian to CDC: We plan to start cruising from U.S. again July 4

Norwegian Cruise Lines Holdings Ltd, (NYSE:NCLH) has been quick to respond to the CDC’s updated guidance on cruising. Today it wrote the CDC outlining its plan to resume cruising from U.S. ports, starting July 4.

The company says that its plan “is consistent with the CDC’s updated guidance that international travel is safe for fully vaccinated individuals and that COVID-19 vaccination efforts will be critical in the safe resumption of cruise ship travel.”

CDC updates guidance on cruising

The U.S. Centers for Disease Control and Prevention has issued the next phase of technical guidance under its Framework for Conditional Sailing Order (CSO). Though it marks another step forward by the CDC, it gives no date for a restart of cruising from the U.S, and it remains unclear whether it is a sufficient advance to enable cruise lines to get the July restart date they have been looking for.
