Ningbo-Zhoushan port jumps on postal trend

Ningbo-Zhoushan Port in China’s Zhejiang province has teamed with China Post to create an express channel to facilitate the shipping of mail and parcels in containers, by fast-tracking customs clearance.

Sea and rail mail from China replaces air cargo trade

China Post and COSCO collaborate on postal service

COSCO Shipping Lines, the China COSCO group’s container liner unit, has been working with China Post to deliver letters on its vessels, in an arrangement that began on 10 April 2020.

As airlines have slashed flights amid the Covid-19 pandemic, China Post, the Chinese postal service, is substituting surface mail for air mail.
