EPS Makes History with First LNG Bunkering!

Eastern Pacific Shipping successfully carries out LNG bunkering for the vessel M/V CMA CGM Tenere during a scheduled port call in Rotterdam, reports LNG Industry.

The 14 800 TEU dual-fuel LNG Ultra Large Container Ship (the first in a series chartered to CMA CGM) took on 10 600 m3 of LNG, which is enough fuel for a round trip voyage between Rotterdam and Asia.

The LNG bunkers were pumped by the world’s largest LNG bunker vessel, Total’s Gas Agility.

CMA CGM Tenere carries out first LNG bunkering in Rotterdam

CMA CGM has announced the first liquefied natural gas (LNG) bunkering of its 15,000TEU vessel, CMA CGM Tenere, in the port of Rotterdam.

The French energy company, Total has delivered LNG with the world’s largest LNG bunker vessel, the Gas Agility, which has supplied CMA CGM Tenere with 12,000m3 of LNG.

Concurrently, the container ship was carrying out cargo handling operations. After the bunkering, the boxhsip will join the CMA CGM’s Asia Line (FAL 1) connecting Asia with Europe.
