France’s CMA CGM SA plans to raise around $2 billion by the middle of next year through a series of deals in its shipping operations to finance the recent acquisition of Ceva Logistics, reports Reuters.

Cheaper fuel rescues box carriers’ Q3 margins, but IMO 2020 looms

Cheaper fuel prices saw ocean carriers improve their average operating margin to 3.6% in the third quarter.

Cash-strapped CMA CGM to sell terminals and ships despite Q3 profit

CMA CGM posted a $45m net profit for the third quarter, reducing the French transport and logistics group’s nine-month loss to $107m.
