A federal judge approved plans to liquidate what little assets remain of bankrupt trucking company Comcar Industries: ostensibly real estate.

The Chapter 11 liquidation plan received approval on Wednesday in the U.S. Bankruptcy Court for the District of Delaware. The remaining assets will be sold through two trusts, with an expected recovery of $23.4 million, according to court filings

TFI International acquires CCC Transportation from Comcar

TFI International (NYSE:TFII) has acquired CCC Transportation in the Canadian trucking and logistics firm’s third purchase from bankrupt Comcar Industries. 

TFI announced the deal Wednesday, saying it paid $6.8 million for Florida-based CCC. Details of the acquisition emerged last week in court filings from Comcar’s Chapter 11 bankruptcy. 

Bulk carrier CCC marks TFI’s third acquisition from Comcar. It purchased CT Transportation and MCT Transportation earlier this summer.

Comcar’s final unit will be sold to TFI subsidiary, court documents show

TFI is on the verge of making another acquisition out of the corpse of the bankrupt Comcar, according to court documents filed  in connection with Comcar’s bankruptcy.

Even as other units of bankrupt Comcar Industries Inc. have been sold off, the fight over the sale of assets to a group headed by the company’s former chairman continued to drag on in a round of court filings last week.

TFI International (NYSE:TFII) formally announced that it has acquired nearly all of the assets of U.S. flatbed trucking company CT Transportation from bankruptcy Comcar industries.
