Conrad Shipyard delivers first YRBM

Conrad Shipyard reports that it has successful delivered the first of class Yard, Repair, Berthing, Messing vessel YRBM 57 to the U.S. Navy, marking a significant milestone in the shipyard’s longstanding history. Conrad Shipyard awarded $18.2 million YRBM contract mod

Within two-weeks of celebrating a First of Class Recognition ceremony for YRBM-57, the first in a new class of yard, repair, berthing, messing (YRBM) vessels, Conrad Shipyard,Morgan City, La., has been awarded an $18,185,672 firm-fixed-price contract modification covering the detail design and construction of one additional YRBM with delivery to Norfolk, Va.

Work will be performed in Amelia, La., and is expected to be completed by June 2026.

Conrad awarded $9.1 million USACE spud barge contract

Morgan City, La., headquartered shipbuilder Conrad Shipyard LLC, has been awarded a $9,106,800 firm-fixed-price contract to design, construct, test, and deliver a new steel spud barge. Bids were solicited via the internet with one received.
