A container explosion killed three seafarers and injured one at the Port of Crotone, Italy, on 31 August, reports India Shipping News.

LAFD: Truck explosion rocks San Pedro and LA Port

A thunderous explosion heard throughout San Pedro brought scores of Los Angeles Firefighters to the 600 block of North Harbor Boulevard on April 15, 2019, where they discovered a big rig trailer had exploded and caught fire. Container’s explosion at Port of L.A.

Los Angeles authorities responded to an explosion from inside a shipping container at the Port of Los Angeles on Tuesday.

No injuries or other property damage were reported and police have no indication the explosion has any connection to terrorism.

Police later said the explosion was apparently caused by combustion of scrap metals and it is being treated as an industrial accident. The scrap metal was designated for export out of the country.
