HHLA’s CTA to implement 5G Network under DigiTest initiative

Hamburger Hafen und Logistik AG (HHLA) Container Terminal Altenwerder (CTA) is receiving funding to establish a 5G network as part of the German Federal Ministry for Digital and Transport’s (BMDV) “DigiTest” initiative.

Hamburg’s CTA re-certified for its climate-neutral operations

Hamburger Hafen und Logistik AG (HHLA) Container Terminal Altenwerder (CTA) has been re-certified as a climate neutral company by TÜV NORD.

Konecranes to supply HHLA terminal with 11 AGVs

The European port and transport logistics company Hamburger Hafen und Logistik AG (HHLA) has ordered 11 Konecraes’ gottwald automated guided vehicles (AGVs) for its Container Terminal Altenwerder (CTA) in Hamburg.

The order, which is part of a frame agreement between the two companies, was booked in September 2021, with the delivery anticipated in early 2023. When the new equipment arrives at the German terminal, the total number of lithium-ion (Li-ion) AGVs on-site will be 95.

Successful automated truck test in Hamburg

Hamburger Hafen und Logistik AG (HHLA) and Munich-based truck manufacturer MAN Truck & Bus are working on self-driving trucks project for use in hub-to-hub container traffic.
