Eight days after it came crashing down on a container ship, a crane that collapsed at the Port of Vancouver has been removed.
The ship-to-shore crane tipped over after the vessel, named the Ever Summit, ran into it while trying to berth at Vanterm in the middle of the night on Jan. 28.
No one was hurt, but operations at the terminal — the main spot for container loading and unloading at the Vancouver port — had been crippled ever since.
