Derecktor Shipyards to build daughter craft for CREST Wind SOV

Derecktor Shipyards reports that it has been selected by Crowley and Esvagt’s CREST Wind joint venture to build a catamaran daughter craft. Designed by Chartwell Marine, it will be carried on the HAV 832 design SOV Operations Vessel (SOV) currently under construction at Fincantieri Bay for CREST and set to work on the Coastal Virginia Offshore Wind project.

Esvagt makes plans to enter the Korean offshore wind market

Fincantieri Bay Shipbuilding in Sturgeon Bay, Wis., yesterday began construction of the 289-foot service operation vessel (SOV) that it is building for the Crowley-Esvagt joint venture CREST Wind.

The HAV 832 design vessel will operate on long term charter to Siemens Gamesa Renewable Energy, supporting its service operations on the Dominion Energy Coastal Virginia Offshore Wind project.
