TTB 2025: That’s Progress – Crowley’s innovative LNG barge

Last summer, Crowley took delivery of the LNG bunker barge Progress from Fincantieri Bay Shipbuilding in Sturgeon Bay, Wis. At 12,000 cubic meters capacity and with a length of 430 feet, it is the largest Jones Act compliant LNG bunker barge thus far built.

Crowley acquires Main Line, expands Pacific Northwest harbor services 

Crowley announced that it has expanded its harbor services capabilities by acquiring Main Line Inc., a vessel mooring company based in Seattle.

The Jacksonville, Florida-based provider of global land and sea logistics said Main Line will provide Crowley’s customers calling on the ports of Seattle and Tacoma, Washington, with vessel mooring and ship assist needs.

Terms were not disclosed.

Main Line employees are transitioning to Crowley as part of the asset purchase agreement.

Two Maine Maritime cadets awarded Crowley scholarships

Maine Maritime Academy cadets Anna LaDue and Odegaard Fields have been awarded Thomas B. Crowley Sr. Memorial Scholarship. Derecktor Shipyards to build daughter craft for CREST Wind SOV

Derecktor Shipyards reports that it has been selected by Crowley and Esvagt’s CREST Wind joint venture to build a catamaran daughter craft.
