Maersk Tankers’ new parental policy leave excludes seafarers

In January, Maersk Tankers announced a new parental leave policy for their employees, enabling fathers with a paid four-week paternity leave; Nautilus now clarifies that the new policy concerns only the onshore crew of the company and not the crew onboard.

Specifically, Nautilus noted that seafarers employed by Maersk Tankers are excluded from the company’s new Parental Leave policy.

Contacting with a company’s spokesperson, Nautilus revealed that the policy is applicable to shore employees only.

Port of Rotterdam, Erasmus University launch programme for future port executives

The Port of Rotterdam Authority and Erasmus University Rotterdam have launched a programme for future port executives. On this occasion, the first group of participants will take part in the Port Executive Leadership Circle from 3 to 7 February 2020.

IMO boosts Somalia’s maritime sector

Induction training methods are underway for Somalia’s Maritime Administration staff as part of IMO/UNSOM efforts to boost the Federal Government of Somalia. Through these training methods, Somalia builds a strong basis for future maritime development.

Royal Navy celebrates 20 years since LGBT ban’s lift
