Hanwha Ocean dismisses speculation about abandoning boxship business

South Korean shipbuilder Hanwha Ocean (formerly Daewoo Shipbuilding & Marine Engineering) has refuted media reports saying it will not accept container ship orders this year.

DSME Won Deal for Construction of Eco-Friendly LPG carriers

South Korean shipbuilder Daewoo Shipbuilding & Marine Engineering (DSME) has won a deal for the construction of three eco-friendly ultra-large liquefied petroleum gas (LPG) carriers, reports offshore-energy.

Hapag-Lloyd invests US$1 billion in new giant vessels

Hapag-Lloyd has announced a deal with the Korean shipyard Daewoo Shipbuilding & Marine Engineering for six 23,000+TEU container vessels.
