Seafarers’ pay is rising by at least 10% as the crew employment market tips in the favor of seafarers, according to findings in the just-released 2023 Seafarers’ Survey from Danica Crewing Specialists. Across senior officer ranks, pay has increased some 10-15%, compared to Danica’s 2021 results, regardless of nationality, the Danica survey shows. Pay figures are particularly strong for the top four ranks on dry cargo vessels.
