Scotland and New Jersey signed a joint agreement focusing on offshore wind projects, aiming to tackle climate change. They both have set ambitious climate and clean energy targets, recognising the importance of decarbonising the energy sector and in particular the role of offshore wind.

New Zealand to build its first fully-electric ferry

New Zeland’s McKay announced in a statement that they are to develop and implement the country’s first plug-in fully electrical ferry along SSC Marine, which is planned to be built in Wellington.  According to the company, the ferry is the first of its kind in New Zealand and also in the entire southern hemisphere.

CLIA commits to reduce carbon emissions by 2030

The Cruise Lines International Association (CLIA) announced a global cruise industry commitment to reduce the rate of carbon emissions across the industry fleet by 40% by 2030.
