Maybe not today, and not likely tomorrow, but one day soon, many Americans will receive their first e-commerce delivery by drone. For residents in select areas of the country – North Carolina, Arkansas and Ohio among others – drones are already making deliveries to the home.

Amazon (NASDAQ: AMZN), Walmart (NYSE: WMT), UPS (NYSE: UPS) and Kroger (NYSE: KR) are among the large retailers and delivery providers that are rapidly scaling up drone delivery tests. Others will soon follow.

Bollinger Shipyards Lockport LLC has delivered an articulated tug-barge (ATB) unit capable of transporting multiple clean petroleum products in the Alaska market to Crowley Fuels LLC — the Alaska-based petroleum transportation, distribution and sales unit of Crowley Maritime Corp.

Vigor to deliver second Alaska ferry in March 2019

Vigor Alaska is nearing completion of the second of two 280’x70′, 300-passenger, 53-vehicle Alaska-class ferries for the Alaska Marine Highway System, according to a report in The Seattle Times. The first of the two ferries, Tazlina, was launched in May and christened Aug. 11, the first state ferry built in Alaska. The second ferry, Hubbard, scheduled for completion in March 2019. The Tazlina is slated to enter service in May 2019.

The 32’x13′, high-tunnel catamaran dive vessels Amelia and Johan recently arrived in Honokohau Harbor in Kailua-Kona, Hawaii. Built by Port Angeles, Wash.-based Armstrong Marine USA for Aquatic Life Divers, the shipyard worked closely on the project with Pacific Boats and Yachts.
