Diamond Line restarts Greece-Croatia shuttle service

COSCO-owned company Diamond Line has announced the relaunch of its Piraeus Rijeka Shuttle (PRS) service.

This weekly service connects Croatia to COSCO’s global service network via COSCO main European hub in Piraeus, Greece.

The 1,800 TEU boxship Vega Daytona will be the first vessel deployed in the relaunched service. The container ship is currently under operations at Piraeus Container Terminal and will arrive Rijeka on 19 August.

Diamond Line and Tarros introduce a new weekly PAE service

Diamond Line, the short-sea and feeder carrier operated by COSCO SHIPPING Europe, along with Tarros Group, is launching a rapid short-sea service connecting Alexandria, Egypt, and Piraeus, Greece to Algiers, Algeria, and vice versa starting June 2024.

This joint weekly service will operate using two 1,000 TEU vessels.

The inaugural voyage of the service, led by Contship Ivy, is anticipated to depart from Alexandria on 28 June and arrive in Algiers on 4 July.

Diamond Line stocks up NET2 service

Diamond Line, a feeder and short sea carrier, is expanding its NET2 service loop, initially established in 2017 using standard Panamax vessels.

The NET2 service offers direct connections from ports in the United Kingdom and Northwest Europe to the southern regions of Turkey and Levant countries in the East Mediterranean, as well as to Adriatic and Black Sea countries through COSCO SHIPPING’s hub port in Piraeus.

Box lines revise services in Europe

Aiming to optimise and improve their network, several container lines have announced changes in their European services.
