DOF Sea Dragon OSV will feature a range of Kongsberg Maritime solutions

More details are emerging about the OSV (offshore support vessel) that the Crist shipyard in Poland is building for DOF. Provisionally named Sea Dragon, the OSV is set to assist operations off the coast of Newfoundland, Canada.

As we reported earlier, the 110 meter OSV will be powered by six MAN 12V175D variable speed gensets and will feature a full propulsion scope from Rauma, Finland-based Steerprop.

Now Kongsberg Maritime reports that it has secured a contract to supply an integrated package...

MAN 175D picked to power DOF Sea Dragon OSV newbuild

Poland’s Crist Shipyard has ordered six MAN 12V175D variable speed gensets in connection with the construction of an OSV (offshore support vessel) for DOF. Provisionally named Sea Dragon, the OSV is set to assist operations off the coast of Newfoundland, Canada.

Designed by Gdynia-based MMC Ship Design & Marine Consulting Ltd., the Sea Dragon is scheduled for delivery by Q1 2027.

DOF sells LNG-fueled PSV Skandi Gamma to mystery buyer

Norway’s DOF Rederi AS reports that it has sold the 2011-built, LNG-fueled platform supply vessel Skandi Gamma, for an undisclosed sum and to an undisclosed buyer. The vessel will be delivered to the new owners in April and DOF will continue as its technical and commercial manager.

DOF books Petrobras contracts worth $260 million

Norway’s DOF Group ASA reports that it has won three new service contracts from Petrobras in a competitive bid process. DOF says that they include work within its core service lines of survey and inspection.

These contracts represent a continuation of the services handled by DOF on the PIDF123 contracts signed with Petrobras in 2020 and under operation since December of that year.
