DP World inks US$760 million investment deal for Caucedo Port expansion

DP World has signed a US$760 million Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with the government of the Dominican Republic to expand the Port of Caucedo and its Free Trade Zone.

The agreement, signed with the Ministry of Industry, Commerce, and MSMES (MICM) of the Dominican Republic, initiates negotiations that will raise Caucedo’s container handling capacity from 2.5 million to approximately 3.1 million TEUs, while unlocking 225 hectares of development-ready land for the Free Trade Zone.

Kalmar, DP World finalize major repeat order for electric equipment at London Gateway

DP World has placed a repeat order with Kalmar for 12 fully electric straddle carriers equipped with high-energy batteries, to be used at its London Gateway logistics hub.

The order, which also includes a Kalmar FastCharge charging station for the machines, was booked in Kalmar’s Q1 2025 order intake, with delivery of the machines scheduled for the first quarter of the next year.

DP World has announced the establishment of its first-ever logistics asset in Singapore, located in the city-state, which is the financial conduit between China and South-East Asia.
