Kenan Advantage Group acquires Alabama-based dry bulk hauler

Kenan Advantage Group (KAG) announced Thursday it has acquired dry bulk hauler Evergreen Transport.

Mobile, Alabama-based Evergreen Transport specializes in the transportation of dry bulk commodities like ash, cement, lime and sand in addition to food-grade commodities. It operates a fleet of 158 tractors and 338 trailers out of four terminals across Alabama.

Bulk carrier Trimac acquires California-based cement hauler

Trimac adds to fleet through acquisition again

Canadian bulk carrier Trimac Transportation announced late Monday the acquisition of Southern California cement hauler Double Eagle Transportation.

Based in Hesperia, California, family-owned Double Eagle operates a fleet of 96 tractors and 124 dry bulk pneumatic trailers. With 132 employees, 105 of which are drivers, the nearly 20-year-old company also transports fly ash, gypsum, lime, limestone and sand throughout California and Nevada.

Fraley & Schilling acquires KBT Enterprises

Truckload carrier Fraley & Schilling has acquired KBT Enterprises, of Fishers, Indiana. KBT operates 33 tractors and 42 mostly pneumatic dry bulk trailers hauling bulk materials such as lime kiln dust, dry bulk cement and fly ash throughout Indiana and surrounding states. 

Terms were not disclosed. Tenney Group, which specializes in mergers and acquisitions, advised the seller in the transaction.
