Eastern Pacific to build dual-fuel LPG carrier trio

Singapore-headquartered Eastern Pacific Shipping (EPS) and Equinor have agreed on a time charter for three newbuild LPG dual-fuel propulsion gas carriers that are slated for delivery in 2022 from South Korean shipbuilder Hyundai Mipo Dockyard.

EPS says that the deal is in line with its Environmental, Social & Governance Policy, which calls for the use of alternative marine fuels as a means to lower the industry’s carbon footprint.
