Tesla to build newest gigafactory in Texas

Tesla (NASDAQ: TSLA) will build its newest Gigafactory near Austin, Texas, chief executive  Elon Musk announced during the company’s earnings call on Wednesday.

The 2,000-acre site will be used to build the electric vehicle company’s Cybertruck, the Tesla Semi, and the Model 3 and Model Y for the eastern half of North America.

“It will be stunning. It’s right by the Colorado River. It will have a boardwalk,” Musk said during the call. “It will be an ecological paradise.”

Tesla gets tax break for proposed $1 billion factory in Austin, Texas

With a key tax break from a local school district, Tesla Inc. (NASDAQ:TSLA) is one step closer to building an electric pickup truck plant in Austin, Texas.

Report: GM starting electric delivery van program
