Eneco applies for permit to construct green hydrogen plant in Port of Rotterdam

Eneco, a natural gas supplier, has applied for the permit to build the “Eneco Electrolyzer”, an 800-MW green hydrogen plant that will support Rotterdam’s goal of producing 2.5 GW of green hydrogen by 2030.

The Eneco Electrolyser will use green energy from solar and wind farms to produce the hydrogen. With this hydrogen, which therefore uses no fossil fuel, the industry can make processes and products more sustainable.

Port of Rotterdam increases stake in Rotterdam Shore Power

The Port of Rotterdam Authority has increased its share in Rotterdam Shore Power (RSP), a joint venture between Eneco and the Port Authority, from 20% to 50%.
