Rosa Degrades to Category 1 Hurricane, Approaches Baja California

Rosa degrades to category 1 hurricane while approaching the Baja California Peninsula, which will favour the potential of very strong to intense storms in the peninsula and in northwestern Mexico, reported the National Meteorological Service (SMN).

In the most recent notice issued by the agency dependent on the National Water Commission (Conagua) indicated that the hurricane is located 625 kilometres southwest of Punta Eugenia, Baja California Sur.
