ECSA, WSC welcome the European maritime single window

On 3 December, the European Council reached a general approach on a proposal to bring together all reporting formalities associated with a port call, under a system called a European maritime single window. Commenting on this, ECSA and the World Shipping Council (WSC) welcome the adoption.

Ro/Ro traffic in Gothenburg increase

Ro/Ro traffic between Sweden and the continent are increasing, as volumes between Gothenburg and Belgium have risen for the ninth consecutive year. Namely, the forecast for 2018 expects a 10% increase for Ro/Ro units.

270 kg of heroin found in container at Port of Genoa

The greatest heroin seizure of the last twenty years was carried out at the Port of Genoa. 270 kilos of heroin was found in a container coming from Iran after a long investigation by the Italian police, assisted by the staff of the Customs Agency. First-ever LNG bunker delivery at Mukran Port

The first-ever LNG bunker delivery at Mukran Port on the island of Rügen in the Baltic Sea has successfully completed by LNG supplier Titan LNG.

The trailing suction hopper dredger “Scheldt River”(9459 gt), equipped with ‘dual fuel’ engines and LNG tanks, took part in the re-fueling operation, including seven LNG trucks.

New EU project to ease circular economy initiatives at EU ports
