Unions appeal against Dutch court’s Docker’s Clause ruling

Feeder lines can set aside Dockers’ Clause says Dutch court

A preliminary court hearing in The Netherlands has ruled that the Non-Seafarers’ Work Clause, the so-called Dockers’ Clause of a collective bargaining agreement (CBA) which came into force on 1 January, should be set aside during the current pandemic.

Union backlash against feeder operators’ challenge to cargo handling rules

Unions launched a legal challenge against ship operators who they claim are reneging on an internationally agreed deal in 2019, following a complaint filed with the European Competition Directorate by six, unnamed, carriers.
