More than 19,000 people have been evacuated from Rhodes after wildfires tore through the tourist island for the sixth day running, reports Yahoo News.

Cargo Ship Crashes Into Cliff off Sardinia, Crew Evacuated

An Italy-flagged cargo ship ran aground off the coast of south-western Sardinia after encountering rough weather on December 21, 2019, reports BBC.

The 8,100 dwt vessel, identified as Cdry Blue, was hit by strong waves and crashed into a cliff in Torre Cannai, Sant’Antioco.

At the time of the incident, the multipurpose ship was en route from Cagliari, Italy, to Alicante, Spain, with twelve crew members on board.

Cruise ships evacuated after Norovirus outbreak

A norovirus outbreak made passengers and crew on board the Princess Cruises ship ‘Sun Princess’ evacuate the ship, as hundreds got sick. The cruise ship had departed on November 1st from Australia, heading to Singapore, carrying 2,000 passengers.

According to reports, around 229 passengers showed signs of the virus, which can include nausea, stomach pain, vomiting and diarrhea, thus causing the ship to be evacuated in Singapore.
